Bio
Hailing from the urban musical heartland of Croydon, South London, DJ X-Kutz was bought up on a diet of DJ Chris the Glove Taylor, Mike Allen radio shows, Greg Edwards Soul Spectrums and Roger Johnson mixes before he'd even made it to school age. We were aghast at this. We knew technology was advancing at such a rate that this was going to be inevitable as some point but we hadn't expected it to be now, and certainly not in a junior race.
As the years passed his love of funk and hiphop grew to be all encompassing and the logical progression was his first set of decks in 1997.
Years of hard work fine tuning his turntablist technique and digging for beats have made him one of London's freshest party DJs. He currently mashes up hiphop, rnb and funk shows all around London and has held various residencies including performing alongside Rodney P, Katy B and the Illasapiens as well as being the resident DJ at the seminal DealReal open mic show where he was featured on primetime television show CD:UK.
X-Kutz is a veteran on the UK turntablist circuit with a methodically professional approach and attitude. His selection and mixing abilities demonstrate raw natural talent in contemporary djing combined with the ability to turn any social occasion into a full on party that everyone present will remember.
